Ananda Everingham is 1/2 Laotain and 1/2 Australian if I remember correctly. He is one of my favorite Thai actors.

just finished watching sa baii dee luang prabang , it is really nice movie.
I love it and want to visit Luang prabang very soon.:D Ananda is handsom mak in this movie ka:D and also actress is lovely too na.(kiss)

I have not seen the film yet but wanted to comment. There is much jubilation over this film in Laos – that it is the first official release in many years – a co-production between Thai and Lao filmmakers. Sadly, however, the filmmakers have ignored (so far) the North American marketplace.
When the film had its premiere in Thailand, the film had Thai dialogue and English subtitles. But now that it’s out on DVD (see link provided), it is only available in PAL format – and only with Thai dialogue and Thai subtitles.
Where did the English subtitles go … and why isn’t this film released in North America in NTSC format with those subtitles in tow?
I wanted to give this film to a coworker who is Laotian-American. But, she only speaks 2 dialects … English and Hmong (Laotian). Not many Laotians speak the Thai dialect … and they’ve been totally disenfranchised by filmmakers. What kind of a “co-production” is that?

The link posted above to the movie’s official website takes you to an extremely nasty pornography site. Seems like someone’s hi-jacked the domain name and URL. You won’t click on the link if you are a regular law-abiding citizen with an aversion to the kind of filth that might get you arrested for viewing it.

I’m trying to get my friends in love with your moovie but no way… Only my wife and I can understand it ! So, please, produce English and French sub-titles !!!
